Wi-Fi and network changes
If you replaced your router or changed its password, reconnect the printer using its network setup menu or the manufacturer’s app.
01 / First-time setup
Step 01
Remove the shipping tape, install the included ink or toner, and adjust the paper guides to fit your paper.
Step 02
Choose USB or Wi-Fi if supported. Use the manufacturer’s setup instructions and select the driver for your exact model and operating system.
Step 03
Select your printer from the device’s print menu. Check that the page feeds cleanly and the text looks sharp.
02 / Troubleshooting
Check that the printer is awake and connected. For Wi-Fi, confirm your device and printer are on the same network, then reselect the printer.
Cancel the stuck job, check the printer display for errors, and try sending one test page.
Follow your model’s jam removal instructions. Reload flat paper and check that the guides rest lightly against the stack.
Check ink or toner levels and confirm the selected paper type. Run the model’s print quality check before replacing supplies.
03 / Connectivity
If you replaced your router or changed its password, reconnect the printer using its network setup menu or the manufacturer’s app.
If printing works but scanning does not, check whether your model needs a separate scan utility or driver for your operating system.
Routine care
01
Keep spare paper in its wrapper and load only the paper type your printer supports.
02
If output looks uneven, use the printer’s built-in diagnostic page to check whether the issue also appears outside your app.
03
Note driver updates, network changes or new supplies before troubleshooting an unexpected issue.
